Support the Arts and Community Art Therapy! Creative expression is what makes us human. In human development, we EXPRESS before we know. When we feel as if something is off, expressing ourselves creatively can help identify the problems, and help work toward solutions. The Art Experience, founded by Art Therapists 25 years ago, is devoted to its mission to improve lives through the arts. We strive to keep the arts accessible for those of all ages and all abilities though our Open Studio independent study program and other project based classes, and now we are expanding our therapeutic arts programming. Bi-weekly art therapy group sessions for the community, called Create: Connection, are available for those of any age, and any artistic ability. Anyone is welcome to join us as we explore life affirming themes like Awe, Resilience, Strength, Humor, or Nostalgia, in a safe, encouraging environment. Your gift of $30 allows for one veteran to remember that "good things can come from negative experiences," or a child to recognize "I am brave," and $300 will support a whole session for 10 individuals. Thank you for helping support our mission and the mental and emotional wellness of the community. The Pontiac Impact Challenge is an initiative of Pontiac Community Foundation and is designed to provide critical investment into Pontiac nonprofits. This year, we are grateful for the support of Pontiac Collective Impact Partnership to help provide financial awards to Challenge participants. Thrivent will pay up to $300,000 in online processing fees per calendar year for personal donations made through Thrivent's online giving platform.
