Children's Wisconsin Foundation

Third Coast Wealth Advisors, Destination Kohler, and Thrivent are teaming with Children’s Wisconsin for Live Your Best Life 2025 at The Baths of Blackwolf Run! This year’s golf event will be held on Saturday, August 23 and all funds raised will once again go to the life-saving work at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. 

“Live Your Best Life” is inspired by Caroline Risseeuw’s journey. Born June 10, 2020, she was diagnosed with congenital heart defects (CHD) and other pulmonary challenges. After undergoing three open-heart surgeries and intensive care for 10 months she continues to grow and catch-up on her development at home. Caroline would not be with us today if not for the caring, world-class medical teams at Children’s Wisconsin. She is able to live her best life!  There are many children and families in our community impacted by the life-saving care provided by Children’s Wisconsin.  This event supports and celebrates all of these children including Truman going through cancer treatments, Shannon who suffered from a life-threatening eating disorder, Henry who has been diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder, and countless others.

100% of the proceeds will be donated to Children's Wisconsin goal of helping the children of Wisconsin be the healthiest in the nation.

We are teaming up with two exemplary non-profits who make substantial impact in our local communities: Macomb Foster Closet and Gifts for All God’s Children.  Teams representing these organizations will go head-to-head on the softball field, and you can be part of this fun-filled event!  

Whether player or fan, you have an opportunity to impact the outcome of the game.  Fans can put the odds in favor of the charity of their choice with at-will donations to invoke rules.  Example at-will donations are:
$10 Mulligan Rule- offense donates to re-do most recent at-bat
$10 Wildcard Rule- defense donates to undo the previous play/hit
$10 Off-Hand Rule- defense donates to make opposing batter bat opposite-handed
$25 Extra Out Rule- offense donates before the inning starts to get one extra out
$25 Minus Out Rule- defense donates before the inning starts to take away one out

$50 is a suggested at-will donation to take the field as a registered player*!

There will also be at-will donations for concessions and a kid’s corner with games and activities!  Grab a camp chair or bleacher seat and come support two great non-profits with an exciting day at the ball field!

100% of funds will be collected by Thrivent Charitable through an online platform to be disbursed to the organizations, with the winning team's organization receiving 60% of funds and the other team's organization receiving 40%.  All processing fees will be paid by Thrivent.

TEXSAR Inc aka Texas Search and Rescue

First of all, we are honored and humbled to be called upon in these difficult times. It is for times like this that our teams train and maintain their capabilities: we are here to serve as Texans helping Texans with service above self. TEXSAR personnel and assets are engaged in support of requesting agencies. We are focused on being of service to victims, agencies, partners and supporters. We do not take this responsibility lightly. As always, TEXSAR never charges for its services, saving agencies and communities significant amounts of money.

TEXSAR is responding to requests for support to the floods affecting Kerr County, and beyond, in Texas. We are deploying volunteer "ground pounders," swiftwater teams, boats, drone teams, K9s and whatever else requesting agencies need of us. UPDATES: 
As of July 6, we have 51 trained volunteer members on the ground in the Kerrville and Marble Falls areas. Our Community Support team is poised to deploy when the agencies managing the response calls for them. More members are arriving, along with several K9 teams. As the waters recede, there are more debris fields to go over. Depending on conditions, our drone teams may be able to get involved soon. The needs continue, and this is going to be an ongoing, long-term response. Thank you for your support to make sure we are always ready and prepared to serve.

As of July 7, we have 36 members deployed with one K9 in the Kerrville area, and 2 K9s from the Alpha SAR group. We also have 10 members in Marble Falls with a K9 team. A request has also come in from Liberty Hill. We expect that on July 8 we will be in Kerrville with an additional 20 members, 2 of our K9 teams, two K9s from Alpha SAR and two from Mark 9 SAR. We have drones working in Marble Falls.

As of July 11, we have 40 volunteer members in Kerrville with two K9s, as well as 11 members with four K9s from Alpha SAR and Mark 9. We are scheduled to have 42 TEXSAR members and two K9s, and an additional 9 K9s coming from other organizations. Conditions on the ground continue to change. Thanks to the generosity of donors, critical assets are inbound to our deployed members: two kayaks with trolling motors for use with side-scan radar; a 18 x 16 rapid shelter with generator and AC so members can cool off and take care; Rapid Radios to improve communications; high-quality safety helmets and safety glasses for the members along with an abundance of work gloves and other essential gear; four high-quality UAVs and more. We are able to utilize on-the-ground information to determine the most appropriate resources required and then acquire them for quick deployment.

As of 7pm on July 16, the weather was more favorable and did not impact operations. The addition of some key resources enhance our capabilities: GPS units for K9s and handheld GPS for team members, enabling us to better map our searches (data is provided to the Emergency Operations Center daily); underwater remote operated vehicle to support dive team...thank you to the donors who have supported TEXSAR operations. UAS (drone) operations take place when permitted. 

As of 7pm on July 18, there have been about 340 hours since TEXSAR began responding to Kerr County and surrounding areas. In that time, TEXSAR volunteer members have committed 6,900 hours, and our K9s have 761 hours.

Austin Disaster Relief Network

Central Texas experienced catastrophic flash flooding overnight into July 4th. In some areas near Kerrville and San Angelo, up to 14.46 inches of rain fell—more than a season’s worth in just hours. The Guadalupe River rose 22 feet in three hours, reaching its second-highest level on record before floodwaters damaged monitoring equipment. This is considered a 1-in-100-year event, and its impact is severe. The situation remains active. Roads are washed out, rescues are ongoing, and many families are displaced.

As of Tuesday, July 8, search and rescue continues in the heavily affected counties. We are on the ground in Kerr County, praying with those who are in the throes of deep emotional and spiritual trauma from the loss of life and utter devastation. ADRN has activated a multi-county Mobilization response focused on providing immediate physical, emotional, and spiritual care to families impacted in Travis, Williamson, Burnet, Kerr, Kendall, and Tom Green counties. We are working to actively deploy volunteer cleanup crews, distribute emergency supplies, and provide survivor case intake and support through a centralized call center.

We are also working closely with local churches and partners in each county to ensure resources are targeted where needs are most significant. We are prepared to scale operations as requests from local emergency management continue to come in. Please help by praying, giving, and sharing these updates with others.

How funds will be deployed:

Volunteer Deployment & Coordination – Logistics, staff, fuel, and supplies for volunteers serving in muck-out, debris removal, and cleanup operations.
Crisis Call Center & Case Intake – Technology, training, and staff oversight to operate a remote call center for intake and triage of survivors' needs. 
Survivor Support & Emergency Needs – Gift cards, emergency housing assistance, hygiene kits, and other critical items for families displaced or severely affected.
Longer-Term Recovery – Case management, spiritual and emotional care, and survivor resource navigation over the next 30–90 days.

Each year, ADRN responds to an average of 80-100 general disaster events like apartment fires or homes damaged by wind and rain, even if only one home is affected. We come with real practical help like food, shelter, and clothes and then connect survivors with dedicated volunteers and a loving faith community through our network of churches for the emotional and spiritual support they need. It’s a harrowing scene on the ground in Kerrville, Texas, where rushing water from the Guadalupe River ripped trees up from their roots and stripped them of their bark. Residents are still in shock after the catastrophic floods from this weekend, and many lost everything they owned. The current was strong enough to tear homes from their foundations, sending entire structures careening down the river. 

Convoy of Hope is in Kerrville, distributing food, water, hygiene supplies, and cleaning kits to people in need. And we’re not stopping there. Convoy is committed to helping survivors in central Texas for the long haul.

HopeKids Dallas Fort Worth

Mission 
HopeKids provides ongoing activities, events and a powerful, unique support community for families who have a child with cancer or some other life-threatening medical condition. We surround these families with a message that hope can be a powerful medicine.
Funding is needed to support our HopeDay, HopeCommunity, and Virtual programs, providing a calendar of 650+ events each year for children with life-threatening medical conditions and their families. We currently serve 1,100+ families across North Texas.

Program 
HopeKids offers an ongoing program of fun events for families who have children with life-threatening medical conditions‭. ‬These‭ ‬events provide the family with something to anticipate and enjoy together‭, ‬fostering quality time in a safe‭, ‬accepting environment alongside other families experiencing similar challenges‭. ‬Best of all‭, ‬these events are always free‭.

HopeDay
One of the most powerful aspects of our work is our HopeDay Program. Each month, we schedule a variety of sporting events, theater shows, concerts, museum visits, and other types of fun activities for the whole family. We strive to keep kids focused on the future, looking forward to the next fun event around the corner, rather than dwelling on what they are dealing with in the present. All of our events are focused on the whole family to prevent siblings from being unintentionally overlooked, bring families together who understand their journey, and are offered at no cost to families. Across each of our chapters, we offer 20-30 free events each month. It costs approximately $600 to provide one family an unlimited calendar of free events for an entire year. 

HopeCommunity
HopeKids events work to foster a support community among families who “get it.” Our HopeCommunity program intentionally builds intimate events to bring together families struggling with similar diagnoses or who live in proximity to each other. These events focus on providing opportunities for families to deepen relationships and build a strong support network at a time when they need it most.

Support, love, and encouragement are all necessary for families who have a child with cancer or some other life-­threatening medical condition. Our community of children and their families get to know each other, encourage, and support each other. One of the most inspiring moments is when a child who has just been diagnosed with a particular condition meets a child who has been healed from that same condition.

Virtual 
Many of our families find themselves isolated due to their child’s medical condition. Families spend weeks and months in the hospital, or have to travel across the country for specialized treatments. This can leave them feeling disconnected and alone during a difficult season. However, through HopeKids’ virtual program, we can bring hope to our families with fun and unique programming, no matter where their circumstances find them. From virtual book clubs to online cooking classes, these events can be attended in the safety of their homes or hospital beds, and connect families like never before. Virtual programming expands the reach of our community beyond each chapter and fosters incredible connections between parents, siblings, and children with life-threatening illnesses. It’s introducing new friends who may never meet in person–but who are bonded in hope–knowing they are not alone.
