Thrivent + Habitat LA: Rebuilding lives after the wildfires

In partnership with Thrivent, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles is helping families impacted by the Palisades and Eaton wildfires recover and rebuild. Together, we are prioritizing support for low-income, uninsured or underinsured homes, and households with seniors, individuals with disabilities, and families with children.  Contributions will directly help us put God’s love into action to provide smoke remediation, repair, and rehabilitation of homes, temporary housing, and long-term rebuilding recovery assistance to families who have been impacted. 

For every $2 donated, Thrivent will match $1 -- up to $222,100.  $444,200 raised will turn into $666,300 with Thrivent’s $222,100 match! This is a part of Thrivent's multi-year partnership with Habitat LA to raise $750,000.

Feeding American Eastern Wisconsin Inc

In communities across Eastern Wisconsin, hunger is closer than many realize. Thousands of our neighbors are struggling to put food on the table. Families are choosing between paying rent or buying groceries. Seniors on fixed incomes are stretching meals to last several days. Working parents are skipping dinner so their children have enough to eat. Hunger often hides in plain sight, but its impact is real.

Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is the state’s largest hunger relief organization, serving 35 counties through nearly 600 food pantry partners and trusted community-based programs. Together, we provide nutritious food to children, families, veterans, and older adults who need it most. Our work goes beyond access. We prioritize balanced meals that support long-term health and stability.

Monetary donations are one of the most powerful and immediate ways for YOU to help make an impact. Financial support allows us to source fresh produce, dairy, protein, and essential staples at scale, respond quickly to increased need, and distribute food efficiently across our service area. Every dollar donated helps us stretch resources further and keeps healthy food moving into the hands of neighbors who need it most.

Samaritan Counseling Center of the Fox Valley

Every child deserves someone to talk to when life feels overwhelming. But for many families, the cost of counseling can make getting help feel out of reach.  

Samaritan's Project Open Door Fund helps children and teens access professional counseling regardless of a family’s ability to pay. This fee assistance fund reduces financial barriers so kids can receive support for anxiety, grief, family changes, school stress, and other challenges during important stages of growth.

When families participate in the Generosity Journey, their gifts help open the door to care, healing, and hope for another child in our community. Every donation to Samaritan helps ensure that when a child needs support, the door to care is open.

Heckrodt Wetland Reserve Inc

The mission of Heckrodt Wetland Reserve is to help all people enjoy and learn from nature today and always.

Access to nature is essential for mental and physical well-being, yet many low-income families lack access to safe, nearby outdoor spaces. Heckrodt Wetland Reserve plays a critical role in addressing this inequity. With 91 acres of restored habitat, Wild Space Outdoor Learning Area, three miles of ADA-accessible trails, and programming led by trained naturalists, Heckrodt fosters environmental literacy and wellness for all. 

By removing barriers to access, the Reserve empowers children and families to connect with nature, promoting lifelong stewardship and a more connected community.

Your gift restores critical habitat, educates over 6,000 annual youth, and makes nature more accessible for our 140,000 visitors.

Pillars Inc.

Pillars, Inc supports those experiencing homelessness in the Fox Cities through emergency shelter, supportive housing programs, and case management services.

Every donation makes a tangible difference. For example, funds help provide warm meals for individuals staying in shelter, safe beds during cold winter months, and the professional support of case managers who walk alongside people as they rebuild their lives. Funds also help ensure that Pillars can respond to urgent needs as they arise and continue offering safe, welcoming spaces for those experiencing housing instability.

The Building For Kids

Help provide kids and families in our community with opportunities to learn and grow through play by making a gift to the Building for Kids Children's Museum! 

Donations of any size support accessible, play-based learning through enriching programs, educational materials, and museum access for families of all backgrounds. A gift of $10 can help fund materials for the BFK's Lab or Studio, $50 can cover the cost of admission for a family, and $100+ can help provide memberships to families facing financial barriers.
