Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska (LFS) presents "World Refugee Day - A Week of Welcome" which runs from Sunday, June 20th through Saturday, June 26th. Here are three ways you can get involved: 1 - Post. Join our Welcome Sign Campaign by writing "welcome refugees" on a piece of paper (in English or another language). Next, take a photo of it and post it by using the "Share a Photo or Comment" button below. For every "welcome refugees" post, the TMN - Nebraska Region will donate $5, up to a maximum of $5,000, to LFS, to be used for refugee resettlement. We will make a donation for up to 5 photos posted per person ($25 max.)* 2 - Give. For every $2 donated through this page the TMN - Nebraska Region will add $1 up to an additional $5,000. Thrivent will also cover all online processing fees so 100% of your donation goes to LFS*. 3 - Check Back Daily. Each day of the week LFS will highlight refugees in the community (E.g., artists, restaurants, businesses, personal stories, etc.). Thrivent will also pay up to $300,000 in online processing fees per calendar year for personal donations made through Thrivent's online giving platform. By posting a photo, you agree that, if it contains any images of people, every person in the photo gave you permission to post it, and that you are the parent or guardian of anyone under 18 in the photo.
