About Black Hills Raptor Center

The mission of the Black Hills Raptor Center is to conserve and protect native birds of prey and their natural habitats through education, rehabilitation, and research. Black Hills Raptor Center provides 125-150 educational programs annually using live raptors. They present in classrooms, at youth programs, in the community, and for special events. The Raptor Center is growing! Building is in progress for a new facility to house our education birds.The long-term goal is to create a facility that can be visited by the public, will provide raptor rehabilitation services in western South Dakota, and will conduct scientific research on birds found in our region. *For every $2 donated through this online campaign, Thrivent will add $1, up to an additional $3,000. Thrivent will pay up to $1,000,000 in online processing fees per calendar year for personal donations made through Thrivent's online giving platform.
