About The Lost and Found Association

Join us on Giving Tuesday! IN THE MORNING: Grab your morning coffee anytime from 7-9am at The Source (421 N Phillips Ave, Ste 101) and support the mission of Lost & Found as they work to prevent suicide. IN THE EVENING: Join us at Hattie's Parlour (Hotel on Phillips) from 5-7pm for appetizers and drinks all while supporting Lost & Found. You'll hear how through their programs, research, education and postvention services, they CAN save lives with your help and support. (100 N Phillips Ave) __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ Suicide is now the second-leading cause of death for 10- to 34-year-olds in the United States. If we do not act, too many of our next generation will die from preventable deaths. There is no single grand solution to suicide, but evidence shows that the cumulative effect of many targeted solutions can substantially reduce suicide risk. We can save lives. But we need to do more. Lost&Found is doing this important work, and your support can help us prevent suicide. We deliver mental health programs, advocate for policy change, train student mentors, and support suicide loss survivors. We serve youth, young adults, and the people who care about them. Areas of work include: PROGRAMS: We deliver resilience education programs and train mental health peer mentors for college-aged youth and young adults. EVALUATION & RESEARCH SERVICES: We apply public health expertise to assess and score campus or organization capacity to prevent suicide. We also provide outsourced evaluation services and technical assistance for suicide prevention and postvention best practices. COMMUNITY EDUCATION: We address community and organization mental health needs through targeted digital public mental health content, community coalition building, and resilience and mental health training. POSTVENTION SERVICES: We deliver support for suicide loss survivors through financial assistance, peer support programs, and community loss response planning. Your support helps us extend the reach of these programs: More students will be connected to mentors, resources, and a community of support. More universities will learn how to build capacity to prevent suicide. More people of all ages will be trained in the basics of mental health and what to do if someone they know is in crisis. And more families that have suffered a suicide loss will receive help with they need it most. Our vision is a world no longer darkened by suicide. Your support can help us build it. Please give generously today. For every $2 donated online through this fundraising page or at in-person events on Giving Tuesday, November 28, 2023, Thrivent will match $1 up to an additional $20,000 per Thrivent Member Network. All online donations in support of this fundraiser will be administered by Thrivent Charitable Impact and Investing®. Thrivent will pay up to $300,000 in online processing fees per calendar year for personal donations made through Thrivent's online giving platform.
