About This Project
Our neighborhood features street names of inventors such as Edison, Marconi, Watt, and Whitney. I am commissioning an original "Inventor's Village" map/poster by local artists featuring biographical facts about each inventor and a thumbnail image of the inventions. We will hold an "Inventor's Village" educational event where local high school students from Toastmasters Youth Leadership will present a 3-5 minute speech on a chosen inventor. The community and local educators will be invited to attend the event where posters will be freely distributed and refreshments will be served. The purpose is to highlight the many inventors named on the streets of our neighborhood, thus raising interest in these historical figures and perpetuating inspiration for tomorrow's inventors.In Support Of
