About Wrench it Forward

Let's come together and make a difference for those looking for reliable transportation in our community. For every $2 donated to Wrench it Forward, Thrivent will add $1 up to an additional $1,500*. Please, come see us at the 5th Annual Wrench it Forward Car & Bike Show on Sat. 10/29/2022!! The event will be in conjunction with the Mariachis Y Menudo on the Plaza at 511 Ave K. (LHUCA Plaza). Wrench it Forward is a non-profit car repair shop. They provide auto repairs for the cost of parts and greatly discounted labor to low-income members of our community. A large majority of the people helped by the organization are senior citizens who live on fixed incomes. The shop also donates reliable used vehicles to the women graduating from another wonderful organization in Lubbock, the Legacy Home for Women, and other organizations. Since Lubbock is spread out over a large geographical area and our public transportation system is quite limited to the areas served, having access to a safe and reliable vehicle is crucial to the success and independence of our citizens. This event is our largest and most important fundraiser of the year and will help Wrench it Forward bless many fellow West Texans in need. This is an opportunity for the generous people of the South Plains to serve the underprivileged in our city with their transportation needs. With your gift..... • You reduce each car repair bill for low-income families by an average of 70%. • You provide free diagnostics for those who qualify. • You provide a space where customers are listened to and treated with respect. *For every $2 donated to Wrench it Forward through this online campaign, Thrivent will add $1 up to an additional match of $1,500. Thrivent will pay up to $300,000 in online processing fees per calendar year for personal donations made through Thrivent's online giving platform.
