About This Project
This Thrivent Action Team would like to create professional, supportive, educational materials that licensed massage therapists in the state of Iowa can share with the public. It is important that these health care professionals restore community trust in this holistic service following the wake of bad press with illicit businesses and the human trafficking epidemic, and the quick fix solution of adding city ordances to state licensing requirements for massage therapists. The largest gathering of licensed massage therapists happen at the American Massage Therapy Iowa Chapter meeting on September 9 in Dubuque, and is an ideal place to build community and increase morale in these therapists. The team members consist of licensed massage therapists who are also community leaders to support and encourage fellow therapists in promoting the health benefits of this holistic health care field.In Support Of
