About Red River Children’s Advocacy Center

The Red River Children's Advocacy Center's mission is to facilitate healing and justice for victims of sexual and physical abuse, neglect and exploitation and to engage the community to protect and support children. Our primary goal is to raise funds towards our ongoing Mental Health Campaign and to hire two dedicated mental health therapists to provide evidence-based trauma therapy to child victims at the Red River Children's Advocacy Center. This campaign is a three-year campaign to raise $450,000 to add two therapists to the team for three years. Two additional therapist would increase our patient count from 38% of children seen to 80% of children seen that are referred from our Forensic Interview program. Funding from this campaign allows us to see 180 more patients over the next three years. Our secondary goal is to boost community awareness about the importance of mental health support for children who have experienced trauma and end the cycle of abuse. __ For every $2 donated through Thrivent’s online giving platform on Giving Tuesday, December 3, 2024, Thrivent will match $1 up to an additional $20,000 per Thrivent Member Network. All donations in support of this fundraiser will be made through Thrivent Charitable Impact and Investing(R). Thrivent will pay up to $300,000 in online processing fees per calendar year for personal donations made through Thrivent's online giving platform.
